Milestones * ˙1969─ The "Carnival Textile Industrial Corp." was established. ˙1970─ Carnival's first factory in Chungli was constructed. ˙1971─ The Texturizing Department and the Knitting and Weaving ˙1971年 Department created in Chungli Factory to produce our hosiery ˙1971年 collection. ˙1972─ The Knitting Department and the Garment-Making Department ˙1972─ created to initiate export sales business for our women's ready- ˙1972─ to-wear collection. ˙1973─ The Dyeing and Finishing Department created. ˙1974─ Export sales began for our men's leisure suit collection. ˙1976─ The "Carnival" brand name established. In December, our ˙1976年 stocks listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange with a paid-in ˙1976年 capital of NT $144,450,000.   ˙1977─ The Domestic Sales Department created. The "Carnival" ˙1977─ brand name for ready-to-wear suit established. Department ˙1977─ store corners were established in Taipei's Sin Kong ˙1977─ Department Store and Kaoshiung's President Department ˙1977─ Store. Also set up our own Te Kuei Store. ˙1979─ After rigorous inspection by the IWS（International Wool ˙1979─ Secretariat）, Carnival became Taiwan's first authorized ˙1979─ brand to carry the IWS （International Wool Secretariat） ˙1979─ logo. ˙1981─ Carnival's Taoyuan Factory constructed. ˙1983─ Taipei Kuan Chien Store established. In the same year, a technical ˙1983年 collaboration agreement with Japan's Ginza Yamagataya Company ˙1983年 was signed. ˙1984─ Information Processing Center established. ˙1986─ The group uniform business began. In May, the first store in ˙1986─ Kaohsiung established. ˙1988─ Investment in Philippines's Philmosa Garments, Inc. In March, ˙1988年 licensed the American brands, "HENRY GRETHEL" and "JACK ˙1988年 NICKLAUS", and the British brand "AUSTIN REED." ˙1989─ The Lung Shou Street Factory in Taoyuan acquired in March. ˙1991─ Collaborated with the Wuxi Xiexin Worsted Spinning Factory in ˙1991年 Jiangsu province to establish the Jiaxin Factory in July. In ˙1991年 November, initiated our first non-core business investment in the ˙1991年 Preferred Bank in the U.S. ˙1992─ Founded the Carnival International Co., Ltd. in British Virgin ˙1992─ Island in October. ˙1993─ Invested in the "Wuxi Jiaxi Building Co., Ltd." and "Wuxi Hujia ˙1993年 Garment Co., Ltd." in April. In May, invested in the "Wuxi Xiexin ˙1993年 Worsted Spinning Weaving and Dyeing Co., Ltd.". ˙1994─ The Carnival Overseas Co., Ltd. in the British Virgin Islands ˙1994年 established in November. Investment in Philippines's Carniphil ˙1994年 Industries Corporation . ˙1995─ Appointed Anderson Consulting as our corporate consultant. ˙1996─ Investment in China's "Wuxi Sincere Garment Co., Ltd.". ˙1997─ Founded the Carnival Global Co., Ltd. in the British Virgin Islands ˙1997年 in January. In October, the first investment in the electronic ˙1997年 industry, the "Precision Silicon Corp." established. In November, ˙1997年 issued the first domestic convertible bonds. In December, English ˙1997年 name changed to Carnival Industrial Corporation. ˙1998─ Strategic alliance structure formed with "Yulon Group". ˙1999─ Franchised the French brand "NINA RICCI" in March. In ˙1999年 September, established the R&D Center in San Chung to initiate ˙1999年 our programs on upgrading quality control and production ˙1999年 technology. In the same month, licensed the American brand ˙1999年 "JOSEPH ABBOUD". Because of the Sept 21 Earthquake, ˙1999年 donated NT $2,000,000 of the funds from our 30th anniversary ˙1999年 celebration to help the earthquake victims. In December, ˙1999年 celebrated the 30th anniversary of Carnival and officially began ˙1999年 the new Corporate Identity which marked the beginning of a new ˙1999年 era. ˙2000─ Self-owned stores for the domestic sales business established in ˙2000年 June for the Carnival brands. In September, Chungli Factory, ˙2000年 Philippines Factories, and the Research Center jointly organized a ˙2000年 conference on improving production technology. Began to ˙2000年 produce for Anne Klein in Chungli Factory as a symbol of our ˙2000年 transformation in technique. Franchised the Italian brand ˙2000年 "CERRUTI JEANS".
